Garlic Bread was a small baguette toasted on one side completely devoid of garlic,Antipasti consisted of 2 small wafer thin slices of parma ham , salami and what can only be described as chopped pork/spam,olives , 2 pieces of artichoke, iceberg lettuce and a few slices of tomato - not bad for £10.95. Main courses of sea food pasta and carbonara were served tepid and were pretty tasteless. Service charge of 10% was added to bill although it was described as optional. We treat it as optional and declined. Don't think that we will be visiting this little corner of Italy in the near future!!!!!

When there are multiple BOGOF offers in the windows and offers of a free bottle of wine and main for each table of four, you really should stop and wonder "why?". I didn't and wish I had. Tiny portions of pretty basic food at astronomic prices. We suffered poor service and were abused by the old man who runs the place for refusing to pay the £10 service charge he had added to the bill, despite it saying 'optional' on the menu. Even with the offers it was not worth it. We left hungry and won't be back.

I had never been there before, although the Carlisle was brilliant. I was not sure about the fly in the soup. The brown napkins were a put down.

Having been a frequent visitor to Italy and enjoyed the convivial atmosphere and cuisine in Italian restaurants, I am pleadsed to say that during a conference visit to Harrogate I found Casa Romana and can only say what a pleasure it was to taste once again freshly prepared Italian food.
